Pirates fall to Brewers, lose 7-1 – CBS Pittsburgh

MILWAUKEE (AP) – Brett Anderson threw seven effective innings, and the Milwaukee Brewers built a big lead early on, racing past the Pittsburgh Pirates 7-1.

Jackie Bradley Jr. scored a leadoff single in the first inning and the Brewers scored five goals, with two outs per run.

Bradley, who had three hits, tripled and scored in the second when Milwaukee made the 7-0.

Anderson allowed an inexperienced run and six hits, walked one, and hit three.

The Pirates’ run scored one of three throwing errors by shortstop Luis Urías.
