PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – To mark the United States’ formal return to the Paris Agreement, climate leaders from across the country met virtually to outline the next phase of the climate movement.

In a recorded message, Mayor Bill Peduto called it good news for Pittsburgh.

“What we urgently need is national leadership that has taken the climate crisis seriously and done everything possible to remedy the problem,” said Peduto.

“We had that leadership at the state and local levels, and now we have it at the national level,” added Peduto. The group also examines how non-federal action will help achieve an ambitious nationally determined contribution.
