PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A brand new soccer franchise has come to the city of Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh City United FC was officially presented in a virtual press conference on Thursday.
You will make your debut in Division 14 of the United Premier Soccer League this fall.

The coaches on Pittsburgh’s newest team say the franchise adds a unique element by increasing awareness and support for the Alzheimer’s Association, with 50% of ticket and merchandise sales going for the cause.
“Alzheimer’s Association is proud to partner with Pittsburgh City United FC,” said Clay Jacobs, executive director of the Greater Pennsylvania Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. “Your dedication and desire to make a positive impact in Pittsburgh and the surrounding communities will help highlight the key resources of the Alzheimer’s Association. We are pleased that this partnership will have positive effects for many local families and look forward to the start of the UPSL season in autumn. “

In addition to the franchise’s support for the Alzheimer’s Association, the team has also partnered with Admiral Sports, who will provide the team uniforms, including a special edition Alzheimer’s Walk Kit that will be worn at the team’s final home game on the day of the walk on October 16 Game is played at Highmark Field.
