PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Move on, Hollywood, here comes Pittsburgh.
Okay, maybe not that extreme, but if you’re a filmmaker looking for a city to live in and make your next movie, Pittsburgh is one of the top cities according to a poll by Moviemaker Magazine.
The poll placed Pittsburgh in third place behind Santa Fe and New Orleans on the list of smaller cities where filmmakers can live and work.
“It might qualify as a big city, but it always emphasizes a friendly, folk, small-town feel that keeps filmmakers from being homesick,” the story says. “The ‘Burgh is a great film city, home to world-class productions from David Fincher’s Mindhunter to Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.”
Pittsburgh also knocked out cities like Tulsa, Savannah, and Richmond.
