The pirates say their fan logs conform to CDC guidelines and were developed with the help of medical experts at AHN and under the guidance of the MLB.

They say fans who do not wear masks – unless they are actively eating or drinking in their seat – are denied entry or even kicked out.

Masks must cover their mouth and nose “with material that is attached to the head with ties, straps or loops over the ears or wrapped around the underside,” the instructions say. This means that gaiters, bandanas and face coverings with an exhalation valve or vent are not allowed.

The baseball field is also cashless and there will be contactless ticketing and concessions. The pirates say there will be improved cleaning methods too.
