PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Pittsburgh police are investigating an apparent armed robbery that took place in a Family Dollar store in Homewood North.
Police say the incident happened around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, and by the time officers arrived at the scene, the male suspect had already escaped.
Witnesses at the scene told police that a man walked into the store, approached the counter and asked for money from the cash register while pointing a gun at them.
Then he allegedly fired a shot into the wall before taking money and running out of the store.
Nobody was injured and the police are investigating.
