PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – For the first time, rental electric scooters are now available in Pittsburgh.

As part of the Move PGH program, Pittsburgh has teamed up with Spin and the first electric scooters are now available in the Manchester neighborhood.

There will be an expansion to other parts of the city at a later date, but these scooters have some rules.
“They’re not allowed on sidewalks, there are devices that should be used on the street, on bike paths and on the low-speed roads, they are not allowed on any road going over 40 mph, they are at 24 mph Limited hour. “Said Karina Ricks, director of the Department of Infrastructure and Mobility in Pittsburgh. “This is the fastest way you need to get them parked in a legal parking lot or next to a bike rack, you can’t leave them on sidewalks.”
