Kinetic Joe Sheehan
I found a local jazz band Kinetic when they opened for Troy Roberts at the legendary closed legendary James Street Gastropub & Speakeasy on the North Side. The outfit consisted of two musicians from Joy Ike’s group, aspiring singer Anqwenique and band leader Joe Sheehan. They were solid and then decided to go to a kinetic gig. It was the early 2010s.
The band’s first album, World of Wonder, became a regular piece on the soul show. Next, I had the opportunity to witness the recording and mixing of my second project.
Lake Volta song This is the result of Sheehan’s visit to Ghana to study music and culture. His subsequent mix of national folk music and his own composition won the spotlight on my 2018 top 10 album list.
Lake Volta Dance, August 13th release is a sequel to 2021. Song .. Kinetic veterans like PJ Roduta and Samuel Boateng are mixed, with Anita Brown Levels and Mariko Reid singing. Credits also include Reggie Watkins, Claude Flowers, Anthony Umbroso, Jerome Johnson III, Roger Romero, and Maya Brown Boateng. The band has developed into a group.
When I saw dance ‘it was clear that the album’s song list contained many reinterpretations of Song’truck. Ambroso’s guitar licks are well placed on the front and center of the new album, with the horns appearing with punch and texture. I like “Another Day”, one of the brand new works. You dance
