Allegheny Co. couple ties the knot on the mountain. Washington after two wedding ceremony cancellations – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – 2020 bride and groom cannot take a break.

Many have been forced to postpone weddings due to the coronavirus pandemic. A couple from Scott Township decided to spend their special day with a view.

The couple married on the mountain on Friday. Washington overlooked with only immediate family in attendance. The pandemic has canceled the couple’s special day twice this year.

“This really is our third shot,” said groom Andrew Longacare. “We were supposed to get married on New Year’s Eve in the Science Center, but we canceled it due to the restrictions. Then we tried to get married with our families around Thanksgiving and it didn’t work out too well either.

“We just thought it didn’t matter where we got married, how we got married. We just wanted it to happen. So we did it with our immediate family and just made the most of the situation we were in. “

The couple originally planned a honeymoon in the Maldives. They’ll do something more local for now.
