Portion of East Carson Road can be closed throughout Vice President Kamala Harris’ go to to Pittsburgh – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – With Vice President Kamala Harris due to visit Pittsburgh tomorrow, the city has announced a temporary road closure.

East Carson Street will be closed between South 28th Street and Sarah Street between approximately 12:00 PM and 4:30 PM on Mondays.

The city also says rolling closings will take place as the vice president’s motorcade drives in and around the city.

“The public should be patient, watch out for one or more alternative routes, and expect traffic delays when the vice president’s motorcade drives through town on Monday,” said Eric Holmes, commander of the Pittsburgh Police Department.

Some people in Pittsburgh say they have kept pace with and haven’t taken action by the Biden Harris administration.

“There has been a lot of talk about bringing unions back and making infrastructure important,” said Alice Mendoza. “I hope they double what they promised.”

Some Republicans are critical of the Vice President’s trip to Pittsburgh. One told KDKA policy editor Jon Delano that he was waiting “for her first trip to the border” to resolve immigration problems.

It is currently unclear where exactly Vice President Harris will be visiting in the city.
