PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Santa Claus typically delivers toys in his sleigh to children around the world every year.
However, on Sunday he got help from local tow truck drivers.
Two companies in the area collected toys for children that are delivered over the holidays.
Like so many things in 2020, it almost didn’t happen.
“With everything that was going on with the pandemic, we wanted to cancel the event,” said Joey Janicky, coordinator of Tows For Tots. “We thought the children needed us more than ever this year.”
This was Tows For Tots’ fifth year, and organizers say they want to help even more children next year.
